Background​

This is Play Based Learning in action. It is being used in the New Entrant and  Year 1 & 2  classes.

We have developed an outside area for students to use during this time.
 
Action stations are designed to be practical, versatile and engaging for all learners. It is successful because:

• Children own their own learning
• Learning is personalised
• It involves purposeful activities
• Children plan and reflect on their learning
• Planning is open and flexible, making it possible to include any curriculum area or inquiry learning
• Learning proceeds at a pace suited to each child’s needs
• For teachers, the emphasis is on reflection: listening to children is their most important contribution
